Our Charlottesville Staff
Jason was born in Charlottesville and has lived in the central Virginia area all his life. He feels a strong connection both to the beautiful Virginia scenery as well as the wonderful people who live here. He is very thankful to be able to work in a field where he can help people communicate more easily in their professional life, social groups, and most importantly with family and loved ones. He finds great satisfaction in seeing how improved hearing enriches lives, eliminates frustration, and helps patients find more joy in their lives. You will appreciate his genuine concern for people as well as the professional way he strives to help everyone he sees.
Heather Short, M.S., CCC-A joined Hearing Healthcare of Virginia in October 2012 as the Audiologist for all of our six offices throughout Central Virginia. Mrs. Short joins us from Chicago, Illinois where she spent nearly a decade in private practice serving patients from around the greater Chicago-land area. Mrs. Short holds both a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Clinical Audiology from Illinois State University where she graduated cum laude. Mrs. Short also holds a National Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA), which demonstrates that she has met rigorous academic and professional standards, which go beyond the minimum requirements for state licensure. She holds licensure to practice Audiology in both the State of Illinois and Commonwealth of Virginia. Moving from Chicago in 2005, she lives in Waynesboro with her husband Terry and two children Molly and Joshua. They are active members of their community and enjoy the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and all that Virginia has to offer.
Lydia joined the team at the Charlottesville office in August 2010. Having lived previously in Philadelphia, New York and Connecticut, Lydia has come to settle here in Charlottesville. She brings with her over 20 years of experience in Customer Service and Medical Office Administration from the University of Connecticut. Lydia looks forward to meeting the many longtime friends at our Charlottesville office as well as welcoming new patients while continuing the personalized care Hearing Healthcare of Virginia is known for.
