Karen Klotz
Hearing Instrument Specialist (Charlottesville)

Karen Klotz joined the Hearing Specialty team of Hearing Healthcare of Virginia in 2010. Karen was born and raised in Staunton, Virginia. She has lived outside of Virginia in numerous other places but has always gravitated back to Staunton. Karen currently resides in Augusta County with her wonderful daughter Kelsey, her dog Zizzy, 2 cats and parrot. At the age of ten, Karen had the honor to meet Helen Keller in person. This meeting inspired her passion to help the deaf and hard of hearing, which she has done for over 30 years now. She often quotes Helen Keller’s words: “Being blind separates you from things, but being deaf separates you from people.” Karen delights everyday to restore communication that joins us in love and laughter. She includes both the patient and their loved ones in education and counseling on their hearing loss, use of aids, and prevention of further loss. Her excitement over advancements in hearing aids and how they can benefit you is contagious to all she meets. Recently she has become certified to use new technology developed for those battling tinnitus. Each time you see her in our Charlottesville office, you will enjoy her bubbly personality and her enthusiasm for your hearing healthcare.

Debbie Adair
Patient Care Coordinator (Charlottesville)

Debbie joined the team of Hearing Healthcare of Virginia in May 2006. Debbie was born in Fredericksburg, VA and grew up in Woodbridge and Caroline County. She is a graduate of the Pan American Secretarial School. Debbie moved to Staunton and worked as secretary to a prominent architect. She has always been an active community volunteer. Her volunteer activities have led to much travel in Eastern Europe and Africa. After adopting two children from Russia, she pursued a career as a realtor to allow a more flexible schedule for the children. Debbie acted as the realtor to the owners of Hearing Healthcare during their move to the area. During the time that real estate was slowing down she was invited to join Hearing Healthcare team and has been a pivotal part ever since then. Debbie takes the lead in coordinating the offices and fine tuning secretarial procedures. Her greatest joy at work is witnessing the success of each patient getting the needed help to hear well. She says, “After seeing one patient after the other overjoyed with the up-to-date technology and skilled adjustments by the specialist, I became a believer—in Hearing Healthcare of Virginia!” When you come into the Charlottesville office, you will soon realize you have just made a great friend in your journey to better hearing.
